Who is Allison Wagner? Can you share a quick bio with us — where you’re from, what you do, and how you got where you are?

I am a Seattle-based graphic designer, Web Designer at Nordstrom Corporate Headquarters and blogger of West Coast Aesthetic. I’ve always been passionate about the fields of fashion/styling, design and journalism. I have aspirations to be a Creative Director someday. If I’m not behind a computer screen designing, you’ll find me collaborating with other creatives, styling and creative directing photoshoots or in front of a camera modeling looks for my blog. I truly believe the success I have achieved thus far is a direct result of having such supportive friends, family and creative mentors.

Describe your style in 3 words.

Minimalist. Layered. Neutrals.

How did you first start blogging and sharing your style online?

I started my blog West Coast Aesthetic in September 2014 as a creative outlet to stay inspired and current as I pursued a career in graphic design. Having a blog helped fuel my passion within the fields of fashion and design and has provided me with the opportunity to network with other creative-minded individuals.

What (or who) inspires your creativity?

The seasons drive my creativity. If I could have my pick, it would be fall year-round. I tend to love the fashion trends and colors during the fall. I also gather inspiration from fashion bloggers and websites I follow. I read and collect fashion and design magazines (my favorites include: Vogue, Elle, Kinfolk, Lone Wolf) and I am really big into weekly mood boarding to get my inspiration out in tangible/visual form.

What’s your fall uniform?

Leather leggings, black ankle boots, a pullover sweater, a statement bracelet, diamond studs, a layered scarf and a floppy hat.

What are your top three favorite Instagram accounts to follow and why?

Bri Emery // @designlovefest

Bri Emery is my design muse, her account is always filled with such inspiring and colorful photos. I also love how passionate about design, creative direction and supporting other creatives she is!

Victoria Smith // @sfgirlbybay

Victoria Smith has been one of my favorite designers for a while. All of her content is so inspiring particularly her interior design-related posts. Her book See San Francisco, is amazing, one of my favorite reads.

Pacific Northwest Wonderland // @pnwonderland

I recently purchased a 3-season tent, so I’m always looking for places along the west coast to go explore! I love this account because it curates photos from users that travel all over Washington state and down the coast highlighting favorite locations, camp spots and beautiful scenery. It’s great for those with the wanderlust bug.

What are some of your favorite Seattle neighborhood spots?

I tend to spend the majority of my time in Ballard. My favorite restaurants as of late are Stoneburner, Volterra and Bastille Cafe & Bar. My favorite places to shop/browse are Ketch Shop, Lucca Great Finds and Annie’s Art and Frame. My favorite happy hour spots are Percy’s & Co., Hotel Albatross and Ocho. My favorite thing to do in Ballard? The Farmer’s Market every Sunday, it’s the best.

My favorite dish on Thanksgiving was…

My mom’s killer brussel sprouts!
